C'est entre Nîmes et Montpellier que j'ai eu le grand bonheur d'officier la cérémonie franco-américaine de Valérie et Adam dans le parc magnifique du @châteaudepouget entre Méditerranée et Cévennes. Les mariés voulaient souligner leurs différences culturelles et religieuses comme autant de liens forts et variés comme la vie l'est, comme le monde l'est. Et puis en attendant mon train devant la belle gare de Nîmes je pensais à Uzès, ville de tant de souvenirs heureux. L'aqueduc moderne et très beau devant la gare, comme un hommage à celui des Romains qui avaient construit celui d'Uzès jusqu'à Nîmes et qui prenait sa source dans la Vallée de l'Eure.
In the area of Nîmes and Montpellier, I had the great honour to officiate the bilingual ceremony of Valérie and Adam, newlyweds living in New-York, in the magnificent park of @chateaudepouget situated between the Mediterrean Sea and the Cévennes. The lovers wanted to celebrate their different religious and cultural backgrounds, as a force and strong bond in life. After the ceremony, waiting for my train in front of the beautiful renovated railway station of Nîmes, it recalled all my happy souvenirs when I lived in the region of Uzès. The modern mini-aquaduc as a replica of the Roman aquaduc that guided all the fresh water from the well in the valley of Uzès to Nîmes, passing the Pont du Gard.
